Unfortunately, due to my vanishing interest, it has become necessary for me to implement my "50-Page Rule". Fortunately, I am still eager to read The Chatham School Affair.

  1. Bummer! I'm always so excited to start a new book and when they turn out to be a sleeper it's so disappointing!

  2. Oh, I hope you enjoy The Chathmam School Affair more than this one, as I have it on one of challenge lists.

  3. Paula ~ Disappointing for sure. However, at least I'm improving in my skills of abandoning books. :) Sometimes it's just timing, mood, etc. but this one - I have no interest in trying again.

Debi ~ You'll probably get to TCSA before me because I don't have it on any challenge lists, so it's not a current chosen read. Even though I've been wanting to read it for YEARS, I'm really not in the greatest frame of mind to try it any time soon anyway. I picked this one because it was a "Notable" and his latest, so I was excited. Oh well.

  4. Oh no! I have this on my TBR. I have Chatham School up this month. I hope I like them. It won't bother me to wait a bit the other one now. M

  5. Amy ~ I've only heard great things about TCSA, so don't be discouraged. Also, 3M recently read this one, so she'll have more to share.

  7. Yikes! I so like the title - too bad it doesn't match the content.

  8. Trish ~ Thanks for the support. For me, it can be very difficult to abandon a book. Although, this time wasn't as bad . . . it's January with year-long challenges, so I have piles and piles of books to read. :)

Heather ~ I loved the title, too!
