28th Challenge Completed!

I love to read books recommended by fellow readers and bloggers - this challenge focused on just that!  I happened to choose books that were published in 1992, 2001 and 2008.  They were all good and I'm glad to have read them.  Two of them were the first in their series, so I can continue on and on . . . and I think I will.  :)

Thank you Lynne from Lynne's Little Corner of the World for hosting this challenge.

I Heard It Through the Grapevine Challenge Read:

The House at Riverton (Morton)
Thyme of Death (Albert)
Murphy's Law (Bowen)

Here is my original list of books with links to my thoughts.

  2. Joy, how many more challenges are you in??? Congrats on finishing Lynne's challenge. That was my first and I enjoyed it. Found some good recommendations. I'm going to go check out your reviews there now.

  4. Dar ~ Seriously, there are many more people that have signed up for many more challenges than me. I actually wanted to do more and they would have fit in, but I was already on to the path of weaning myself. Doing challenges has been great fun (for the most part) and I will miss it. :) My list for 2009 is getting longer and longer, and I'm anticipating some great reads!

I believe I have 7 more challenges to complete, well actually 8. There was one that was a two-parter - one group of books for 2008 and another group for 2009. I finished the 2008 books.

Mary ~ When I got my new computer, I had to change my e-mail address, so I didn't ask Lynne to add me back onto the challenge blog. The point is that I only have 2 books posted on there. The third is in the comments of my second one. I don't know if that makes any sense. :)

    J. Kaye ~ Glad to spur you on. :)

  5. Congrats yet again, Joy! You know, I'm not only awed by the amount of reading you get done, but also by your organizational skills! Just keeping track of so many challenges was part of what finally sent me over the edge, I think.

  6. Debi ~ The good news for you is that you had fun planning for them. And, really - the challenges are meant as an incentive to read. You have read, so you have accomplished much! :)
