  1. I think I will try BLUE HEAVEN, the C J Box standalone. And I think I will try starting at the beginning of his series. I started in the middle and wasn't too enthralled. But there are a lot of enthusiastic reviews out there, so feel I should give him another try.

Looks like you had a pretty spiffy reading month.

  3. Vickie ~ As much as I am trying not to get so tied up in the MUST begin at the beginning, I think some really need the background. As long as there's no internal dreaded pressure to begin at #1, then yay! it's all good, right? Hope you like Blue Heaven. I think you will. :)

Staci ~ I'm so happy to have 2 best reads this month! Woo!

  4. You read almost as many books in one month as I've read in one year! This is my slowest year EVER. But my most recent reads have been fantastic. I loved Before I Go To Sleep and now I can't stop reading Turn of Mind. Woot! :)

  5. Les ~ Audiobooks are my friends! They are the ones to keep me "reading" at a healthy level each month. This month happened to be even at 6 and 6, but overall I have listened to 32 vs 22 that I have read.

I didn't like Before I Go to Sleep as much as others. I still thought it was very good, but the repetition (HUGE pet peeve of mine in many areas of my life) just didn't sit well with me. Also, the ending was a bit dramatic and unrealistic from my perspective. I'm glad you loved it though. :) However, I will be on the lookout for more by him.

As for Turn of Mind - loved it!

  6. Well, in comparison to Turn of Mind (which I'm about to finish), I'd have to say I really liked Before I Go To Sleep, but I LOVED Turn of Mind. I can't put it down!
