What's up with that!?! I've been trying to win him over, but there hasn't been much progress. For me personally, I have accidentally read some series out of order, but I am much more careful now.Thoughts of Joyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05572910467988997432noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31208059.post-64342179509194719292008-09-03T18:00:00.000-04:002008-09-03T18:00:00.000-04:00This book is on my 1st in a Series Challenge list....This book is on my 1st in a Series Challenge list. I'm thinking I'll make it my Sept. read for this challenge. I found out about Robinson through my husband and I've actually read some other titles from this series. I really hate reading out of order, but picked them up since they were laying around the house (Mr. Distortion doesn't have the same "read them in order" issues that I have!).Terri B.https://www.blogger.com/profile/12215878121282668358noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31208059.post-35848497976361730002008-09-03T17:57:00.000-04:002008-09-03T17:57:00.000-04:00Nan ~ I am so glad to hear that you are another Ba...Nan ~ I am so glad to hear that you are another Banks follower! :) Where have I been? Like a lot of other authors and their books, I've seen them, but just never picked one up. I've got this one covered now!

Iliana ~ I found him to be believable, too. I think Robinson does a very good job with the Banks character. I find him believable - he's a good guy but he's got his faults too.Ilianahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07026669671843769219noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31208059.post-11378830956630980662008-09-03T14:24:00.000-04:002008-09-03T14:24:00.000-04:00I've read a few of the later books, and I liked Ba...I've read a few of the later books, and I liked Banks so much that I went back and started with Gallows View. We do indeed learn more and more as time goes by, which is one of my favorite things about any series.Nanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15547916206007733970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31208059.post-80871980681548114662008-09-02T23:06:00.000-04:002008-09-02T23:06:00.000-04:00Kay ~ I think what surprised me most was that it w...Kay ~ I think what surprised me most was that it wasn't as simple as I thought it was going to be. I liked that. It's not deep either, but it was more than I expected. Robinson (the sly guy) has me snagged into wanting to learn more about Banks.Thoughts of Joyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05572910467988997432noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31208059.post-6176841012740722782008-09-02T22:44:00.000-04:002008-09-02T22:44:00.000-04:00I read his IN A DRY SEASON a few months ago for my...I read his IN A DRY SEASON a few months ago for my mystery book club and look forward to starting the series and moving on through it. He now divides his time between Toronto and Richmond, North Yorkshire.

I just read that his 19th book will be out in the US in Feb. 2009, but Oct. 2008 for you Canadians. AHHH, the 17 books will be growing instead of shrinking, if I don't read another by February. :)Thoughts of Joyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05572910467988997432noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31208059.post-25224388438986363662008-09-02T13:11:00.000-04:002008-09-02T13:11:00.000-04:00I've never heard of this series but glad you enjoy...I've never heard of this series but glad you enjoyed it. Now I'm really eager for more.

Ladytink_534 ~ I just read that book a couple of months ago, so we're in the same boat. :) I plan on continuing with the In Death series, but I'm in no hurry. Actually, I may be listening to one soon. I haven't decided yet.

As for this Alan Banks series by Robinson, I'm definitely interested in pursuing more.Thoughts of Joyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05572910467988997432noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31208059.post-48724861505812204162008-09-02T11:37:00.000-04:002008-09-02T11:37:00.000-04:00Hmm... never read this author before.
