LIFE EXPECTANCY
Dean Koontz ~ BOiPod
Personal Rating: 3.75/5

Koontz's sense of humor consistently tickles my funny bone. There's just something about that quick wit that I love. This particular book juggles with a clown theme, so there are plenty of funnies dropped. I did begin to tire of the clowning around, but for the most part...it was good.

Glad you liked it Joy.I really enjoyed it too!
ReplyDeleteI just can't get into his books.
ReplyDeleteJoy, Koontz's wicked sense of humor is appealing to me too. His most recent books also have what I would call a spiritual component with a good vs evil theme. I like that too and find his books consistent pleasers.
ReplyDeleteAmy ~ I think he's one we can depend upon. :)
ReplyDeleteMy Utopia ~ We all have our own preferences. I don't like a lot of books others love, so I understand. :)
Jan ~ "JAN" ... is that really you?!? :) I think my first Koontz was ODD THOMAS (a great start!) and since then I have read some of his other work. There hasn't been one I haven't liked. Thanks for stopping by.
Joy, you probably already know that Dean Koontz is my 'come-home-to' author. Reading one of his books is like curling up in an easy chair with a quilt - comfortable and sure to please. All that sounds very strange since he is a mystery/thriller writer, but his books are what I need when I feel blue or worn out. The Odd Thomas books are among my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI've never read Koontz but I have His Odd Thomas series on my TBR list. I like mysteries that include humor as well. Enjoyed your review.
ReplyDeleteBooklogged ~ No I didn't know that, but I do know exactly what you mean! I have enjoyed every Koontz book I have read (or listened to). :)
ReplyDeleteFramed ~ Try him, you'll like him! LOL
I've only read two books by Koontz and this was one of them. I loved it - it was actually a 2005 favorite. The other was nyeh. I hope to get to Odd Thomas, some time. Koontz does have a terrific sense of humor, doesn't he?
ReplyDeleteI loved this book too and it was my first by him! :) I hope to read more of his sometime soon! :)
ReplyDeleteBookfool ~ I'm guess you'll like Odd Thomas just like the rest of us. :)
ReplyDeleteLover of Books ~ His others have characters that have a sense of humor, but this particular character seemed to reveal a little bit more than the rest I have read.
