What an absolutely adorable book! It was so simple and silly, yet so very sweet. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing about Winnie-the-Pooh and his friendships, definitely a pleasurable experience. I look forward to reading more of their adventures.
Out of many quotable quotes, here's one I really liked:
"Nobody can be uncheered with a balloon."
Winnie-the-Pooh
(the bear with a very little brain)
Had you never read Puuh before? I'm glad you did if it was the first time.
ReplyDeleteYou are off to a great start this year, Joy - two books with 4.5 ratings. I hope it will continue for you.
oh I love Winnie the Pooh. I love Eeyore most of all. Glad you enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteRaidergirl3 ~ I know . . . what's the matter with me? I didn't even read Pooh to the kids. However, they read the books and I did watch the cartoon with them!
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm a happy camper with my choices thus far. AND . . . the Lawson book I'm reading is very good, too. :)
Alix ~ Each of the characters had a part in the book. They were all so much fun.
Great minds think alike - I have just finished this one for the young reader's challenge as well :)
ReplyDeleteI've never read this before either, but I have it on a challenge list. Glad to hear you found it so totally delightful...now I'm really looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteSally ~ Thanks for putting me in such fine company. :) I see you weren't as thrilled with it as I was though.
ReplyDeleteDebi ~ It's very simple-minded, but the humor or silliness of the scenes is very cute. I did really enjoy it and want to read more.
I have never read the Pooh books. I feel culturally deprived. I think I'll read them to my grandson when he gets older.
ReplyDeleteFramed ~ While the characters are adorable, I think waiting a bit would be good so they understand the scenes. OR Grandma can explain. :)
