Words are phenomenal, don't you think!?! Their makeup of extraordinary characters create an incredible power. Words can and do change lives.
I love the paths of new thinking that words create in my mind, therefore I read. This blog is a place for me to capture my feelings about the adventures I have taken within the confines of the written word. The following are purely my simple words of pleasure. Or not.
My Personal Rating Scale
5 = Absolutely Outstanding4.5 = Excellent4 = Very Good 3.5 = Good3 = Just Okay 2.5 = Eh2 = Not Enjoyable 1.5 = Ugh1 = Don't Bother
One of my long-range reading goals is to read all of Agatha Christie's mysteries. I've got about two dozen under my belt, and I just adore Tommy and Tuppence. There are a few others recurring characters that pop up that are fun, too. Lt. Battle comes to mind.
It was hard to chose, because Poirot is the master, but T&T are fun, they just didn't have as many books: they start with The Secret Adversary, and then Partners in Crime, and then there is one when they are old. What fun!
I love Agatha Christie. I have a shelf full of those, and I just adore Miss Marple. She's so clever, and everyone assumes she's just an old lady interested in only her knitting and her nephew.

ReplyDeleteWhat fun!
You know much as I love AC I have never read any of the T&T books. I may have to check them out.
ReplyDeleteHope Poirot holds his lead!
I haven't read Agatha Christie for a long time, but I used to love her mysteries. As much as I like Miss Marple, Hecule Poirot is by far my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI really need to read a few more of these!!
I am a big Christie fan, but have never read any of the T&T books. It's hard to get past Miss Marple and Poirot!
ReplyDeleteHaven't read any of the T&T books. I tend to go between both - I haven't read enough Christie to really pick a favorite yet I guess!
ReplyDeleteRaidergirl3 ~ Thank you! Every time I read one of your comments, I want to go them. :)
ReplyDeleteAlix ~ As of right now, Poirot is still in the lead.
Stephanie ~ Another teaser! I just have to read a Poirot.
Nyssaneala & Iliana ~ I hear that T&T are fun. You may want to give them a try. :)

ReplyDeleteDiane ~ Yep, but she proves them wrong.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite is Miss Marple but I read a T&T recently and enjoyed it very much. There are lots more I haven't read - a challenge would be fun!
ReplyDeleteGeraniumcat ~ I'm in the process of developing a challenge. It will be very simple and loose on the rules. Stay tuned!
ReplyDeleteI had to vote for HP, though I like the others, too.
