well thanks for letting me know, but i don't have a problem with you using it at all! good luck with your challenge!
ReplyDeleteWhy not? I already have my personal, ongoing "Agatha Christie Project" going on (I plan to eventually read all the mysteries) and I have 8 on the list for this year already with the 888 Challenge. What's two more?? :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting!
Lezlie
The Story Siren ~ Oh good! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteLezlie ~ YOU are the one that inspired this challenge! :) I just think challenges are great to help me read books that I really DO want to read instead of pushing them to the side again. Also, now we can see what others are reading with the links.
Really?? I'm flattered! :-) I hope a lot more readers discover or rediscover Agatha! And I agree with you completely. I'm thrilled to have discovered reading challenges for the very reasons you've given.
ReplyDeleteHere's to Ms. Christie!
Lezlie
Lezlie ~ Yes, really! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to meeting her beloved characters!
I don't know if I'll be able to finish this challenge, but I love Agatha, so I will be joining in! I'll have my post up in the next few days.
ReplyDeleteNyssaneala ~ Oh yay! No worries. Even if it's just one, it's better than none! :)
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to read Agatha for quite some time now. I have just started her fist book - The Mysterious Affair at Styles - and then I discovered this challenge through Wendy. What a great way to keep me focused on reading her books!!!
ReplyDeleteKara ~ I'm glad this worked out to be good timing for you. :)
ReplyDeleteOh so tempting! I finally discovered Agatha a couple of years ago - I don't know what took me so long. Don't think I'll be able to fit in this challenge but I look forward to reading your reviews on one of the masters of mysteries :)
ReplyDeleteBrilliant, thank you, Joy! Please count me in. I'd already decided I wanted to read more of Christie's writing, and I've just got all the Miss Marple short stories, so that's a great place to start.
ReplyDeletesounds like fun! I've read a few of her stories and this is just the 'push' I need to read a few more. Her stories are always a fun read. http://thebookworm07.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteIliana ~ Thanks for commenting anyway! And, if you change your mind - come on back! You could always read short stories. :)
ReplyDeleteGeranium Cat ~ Ewww, I love when you call me that! LOL I plan on reading the Miss Marple's short stories as well. I'm hoping to pick up some others, but that's my starting point. :)
Naida ~ Glad to hear that this is a good "push". :)
WOOO! I'm all over this! I had already gotten started! :)
ReplyDeleteI'll post a link to the challenge via my Agatha blog. I'll do this at some point this week. Great challenge Joy!
ReplyDeleteHeather ~ HOORAY! I'm so glad you're excited about this - all the more inspiration for others! You have an "Agatha Blog"? Hmmm, I'll be by soon. :)
ReplyDeleteI am in! I own 40+ of her books. I will re-read.
ReplyDeleteGuatami Tripathy ~ WOW! It's great to have a well-seasoned AC reader among us. :)
ReplyDeleteI can't remember a time when I didn't adore Agatha Christie's books. According to my LibraryThing catalogue, I own 62 of her books, although some of those may be overlaps. No wonder that I could only find 6 novels I hadn't read yet!
ReplyDeleteI guess this will be the year I complete my knowledge of Christie's works! Thanks for hosting this challenge, it's a great idea!
Poodlerat ~ Another seasoned AC reader!!! I'm happy to help you complete her collection. :)
ReplyDeleteI just found out about this challenge. Is it too late to join? I've already read two Agatha Christie books this year, the first I've ever read, and I love her works. I want to read more of them, and this is a good excuse to do so!
ReplyDeletei looove agatha christie. i doubt i'll finish the 10 in the year, but i do want to re-read those already on my shelf! fantastic idea!
ReplyDeleteAloireads ~ Oh good, I'm glad you love Agatha and found us here! You can always mix it up with short stories to lighten the load. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder Joy! I'm really excited about the challenge. Here is my post: http://pmduo.blogspot.com/2008/05/anything-agatha-challenge.html

ReplyDeleteNan ~ Glad to have you! :)
ReplyDeleteI belong to the Yahoo! book group Agatha Agape so, why not do this challenge as well? Intergalactic Bookworm
ReplyDeleteI am a member of the Yahoo! group Agatha Agape and I said to myself may as well do this challenge. Judy
ReplyDeleteI.B./Judy ~ Welcome! That works out perfectly for you. :) Please come back to link any reviews you post. Go to the Sticky Post (first post of this blog) to locate the Anything Agatha image and you can link them there. Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteJoy, I'm not sure how to link. I read on another post to put my name and the book title in the first line, and the url with the review in the second. But then I began to wonder because I don't see anyone else's links to reviews. Thanks, Nan.
ReplyDeleteNan ~ Go to the first post of this blog (Sticky Post) and find the Anything Agatha image then click on it. It will take you to where you link your reviews. Also, to get just the post of your review, click the time under your post, then copy that url to link. Let me know if you need more help. :)
ReplyDeleteYay! I did it. Thank you, Joy.
ReplyDeleteI guess I am probably a little late, but it was a tempting challenge, so added my name to Mr; Linky:)
ReplyDeleteJust Someone ~ I'm glad you are joining us! Welcome! When you get a post up about the challenge, you or I can link it to your name.
ReplyDeleteyup, yup, yup...one of agatha's crazy fans is here to accept the challenge!!! (got 4 christies today for some serious reading!)
ReplyDeleteLakshmi ~ Sounds like a great beginning! Welcome!
ReplyDeleteJust a note to let you know I am dropping the challenge. I do thank you because it has made me a fan of AC. I've just got too many other books in the tbr to focus on any challenges.
ReplyDeleteNan ~ Sorry to see you go, especially when you were so excited about AC, but I understand. Hopefully, you will pick more up in the future.
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me know about the Challenge group Joy. I'm probably not going to get 8 read this year as I've only just begun reading them in order and have just completed the first 2. I have reviewed them over at my site. My aim is to read one or two a month so I hope you aim to have this challenge going for some years.
ReplyDelete3 Christies read. planning to read more, joy!
ReplyDeletehere's my link (with a few other challenges): http://aloireads.wordpress.com/my-challenges/
