The second round of Book Awards proved to be a wonderful challenge for me. I read all Newbery Award winners for the 2007-8 Challenge, but this time around the challenge required that there be 5 different awards included in your choices. With the exceptional lists provided on the Book Awards II Challenge site for eligible books, I was able to gather up numerous possibilities.
Thank you 3M from 1MoreChapter for hosting this challenge.
Book Awards II Challenge Reads:
The Spellman Files (Lutz)
Persepolis (Satrapi)
B is for Burglar (Grafton)
Flowers for Algernon (Keyes)
Last Days of Summer (Kluger)
Murphy's Law (Bowen)
Year of Wonders (Brooks)
The Chatham School Affair (Cook)
The God of Animals (Kyle)
Runaway (Munro)
Here is my original list of books with links to my thoughts.

Wow, Joy, I am totally amazed you were able to complete this so quickly.
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!!!
Holy Crud!! I really don't have anything else to say. Fantastic job. I was going to do this one but was too lazy to figure out which of my books were award winners. I probably could have knocked a few off the list in the past two months, but ah well. Ok, apparently I always have something to say. :)
ReplyDeleteGood for you! I can't believe how quickly you finished this one. Good variety of books there.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on completing another challenge and again so quickly!
ReplyDelete3M ~ I'm focusing on finishing challenges as soon as possible and I haven't picked up too many books that I just felt like reading lately. Even so, I really enjoyed this. I was able to get some books read that I've wanted to read for a long time. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteTrish ~ The list of eligible books on the challenge site really is excellent. That's how I found if any books I had on other challenges fit into this one. You can still do it! :) Also, you have to remember, I've been listening to about 1/3 of a book a day. It's been great. I think 1/2 of these books were listened to.
Raidergirl3 ~ Yeah, I liked the variety. It made for an interesting challenge. I finished quickly because I tried to finish quickly. :)
Tanabata - aka The Photo Queen ~ Thank you. I'm moving along.
Congrats my friend-you rock!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Thanks! :)
ReplyDeleteBoy, that was quick! Congrats on finishing the challenge!
ReplyDeleteDar ~ Thank you. :)
ReplyDeleteTanabata ~ Well, you are!
Teddy Rose ~ Focus, focus, focus.
