DEAD TO YOU

At the age of 7, Ethan was abducted from his family home.  At the age of 16, Ethan returns to his family home, but has a difficult time with the transition.

I listened to this on an airplane and while it kept me somewhat entertained, I thought it was a little on the boring side.  I appreciated the authenticity of everybody's feelings towards Ethan's return, and I was curious as to where the story was going and what the ending would be.  However, it turned out to not be a surprise, and I would have liked to have known more of Ethan's thoughts and/or what happened next.

Looks like one I can skip. Too bad since the premise looked good.
