Over their morning coffee, three men are gunned down in a local diner. The daughter of the prosecuting attorney for Raythune County, WV witnessed the shooting, as well as half the town. However, nobody can give any clues to whom the shooter may be.
This was a good start to a series. Interestingly enough, I liked learning about the characters more than I did the case - it was a bit dull at times. Actually, there were two cases. The secondary case was more interesting to me. At the end, the characters had some major changes taking place, so I look forward to seeing what comes of them.

Sometimes I find that I care more about the learning the characters than I do the actual mystery too!
ReplyDeleteStaci ~ It was an unusual occurrence for me, but I still thought the book was good overall. I'm curious as to how the second in the series will pan out.
