This was my first introduction to Simon Kernick, and I'm happy to report that it was a positive experience!  I really enjoyed the fast-paced plot most of all, along with the twists; however, I didn't care for the major focus on the shooting scenes.  This turned out to be one of those books that I could read (obviously), but would have a difficult time watching.  It also was a tad bit unnerving, because I was on vacation (yes, staying in a hotel) during part of this reading.  Not a great idea, but I was already invested and wanted to know the outcome.  Compartmentalizing was key.  :)  "The inspiration for Siege" at the end of the book was interesting, too.  I enjoyed reading about Kernick's thought process while writing the book.  He is definitely an author I will pick up again.
