Kinsey is framed for insurance fraud.
My friend adores Kinsey and never fails to bring up this series and then badgers me into reading more. So . . . once again I tried the next one, and once again, I was not impressed. The series, as a whole, seems to be running in the "just okay" zone for me. I reassure my friend that I don't dislike Kinsey or the writing of Grafton, but I prefer other series. Ohhh, but that doesn't appease her, she'll say, "Try ?" or "Try ?" She is simply a diehard Alphabet Mystery fan, and I'm happy for her. I really am. Wish I could be too.
I read A through D a few years back and was never too impressed. They were "just okay" for me and I gave up on the series.
ReplyDeleteTara ~ We seem to be in the same boat. I think I have one more on my iPod, so I'll probably listen to it at some point. It breaks up other reads.
DeleteI'm with your friend - I love this series too.
ReplyDeleteBermudaonion ~ You two are not alone! :)
Delete26 books I'm guessing? Too much commitment for me! I've always been curious but sounds like they're hit or miss with people.
ReplyDeleteTrish ~ She hasn't made it to Z yet. I think W is the latest. They are not cozy mysteries, but they feel like it to me. I need more oomph in my books.
DeleteWell I read the first one last year and liked it enough to continue. Eventually.
ReplyDeleteStacybuckeye ~ If you get to B, I hope you enjoy it. I may have liked it more if the series grew with the times.
