A brilliant scientist experiments on himself and becomes invisible.
I never read this story by H. G. Wells and to do so in this graphic form was a true delight. I love Geary's artistic ability and his way with words. He illustrates with great detail, but gets right to the point with the dialog. Wish I had a collection of all his work. It's worth keeping.
I've never read that book either. The graphic novel sounds like a great way to visit it.
ReplyDeleteBermudaonion ~ Yep! :) Perfect for me.
DeleteI read the book (classic version, not the graphic novel) back in 2006. Just re-read my review and I think you enjoyed the book better than I did. I've discovered, over the years, that I'm not really a fan of the classics.
ReplyDeleteLes ~ I enjoyed the graphic novel. I think the print version would have been boring. I'm not a fan of classics at all! That's why I thoroughly enjoyed this. I got a classic into my reading diet without much pain. LOL. Geary is superb at his craft.
DeleteLes ~ Oops! Forgot to add that I'm now reading Wuthering Heights by him!
DeleteI love Wells but haven't read this one yet. I love the graphic novels of classics.Makes them so much more accessible!
ReplyDeleteStacybuckeye ~ I'm thrilled to have found a way to read classics without having to read the originals. I would not be reading them otherwise.
DeleteI agree with you! I'm a big Rick Geary fan.
ReplyDeleteBybee ~ He's incredible! I need to look for more in this collection.
