INDISCRETION

Author:  Charles Dubow
Genre:  Fiction, Standalone
Published:  2013
Personal Rating:  3.75/5 (good +)
Format/Narrator:  Audiobook/Robert Petkoff
Yearly Count:  95

Harry and Madeleine Winslow, a couple much in love with each other and life, are blindsided by a youthful beauty who changes their lives forever.

I had many feelings throughout this book.  My first thoughts were of apprehension to even begin it because the general topic didn't entice me, it actually appalled me.  However, by the end, I surprisingly became attached to these people, and had a weird sense of loss.  That shocked me.  I almost gave it a 4, but there were times when I wanted to plug my ears or got slightly bored, so I can't fairly say it was "very good."  Ultimately, the narrator did a fantastic job, and I was surprised at how much I liked this out-of-my-comfort-zone audioread.  It is definitely a cautionary tale.
