A crew team at the University of Washington has their eyes set on the 1936 Olympics in Berlin, Germany.

What a good book!  I am surprised at how much I enjoyed it.  There are facts and details galore, but it still reads/listens like a novel.  The stories of the individual boys, the coach and the boat builder are all present, but the focus is on one crew member, Joe Rantz.  The quotes of the boat builder were thoroughly enjoyed, and I learned a little bit more about Berlin in 1936, too.

    1. Les ~ I just told some peeps at work about it, and they looked at me with very disinterested faces. Oh well. It was surprisingly good for me. The author does a fantastic job with delving into the lives of those involved. I hope you love it. :)

    1. Stacybuckeye ~ That was what I thought, too. However, it really is worth giving it a shot. It may seem a little slow reading it, but that's just me. The audiobook was terrific.
