Author:  C. J. Box
Genre:  Mystery, Joe Pickett Series #2
Published:  2002
Personal Rating:  2/5 (not enjoyable)
Format/Narrator:  Audiobook/David Chandler
Yearly Count:  39

An environmental activist is involved in a horrific ranch explosion and Joe Pickett, the Game Warden, is called to the scene.

I really enjoyed 2 standalone books written by C. J. Box and the first one in his Cody Hoyt series, but this one didn't come close.  I'm not exactly sure what went wrong with this listening experience, but I was SO bored.  I think it may be Joe, himself, because the storyline was fine.  He didn't have enough personality to keep me interested.   At this point, I don't think I'm going to try any more Joe Pickett books, but I will absolutely continue with Cody Hoyt and standalones.

Thoughts of Joy

I read the first Joe Pickett book and came away satisfied but not interested in more. It would help if Joe had a little more...something.

    1. Stacybuckeye ~ Apparently we had similar feelings about good ole Joe. :) No more for me - too many other books to pursue.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. :)

I hope you have a great day and ...
Happy Reading!
