Author:  Sophia Kinsella
Genre:  Chick Lit, Becky Brandon Series #7
Published:  2014
Personal Rating:  2/5 (not enjoyable)
Format/Narrator:  Audiobook/Claire Corbett
Yearly Count:  3

The Brandon family move to LA for a few months in order for Luke to deal with a famous client.  Meanwhile, Becky decides she wants to be a stylist to the stars and sets out to do just that.

UGH.  So sad.  In general, I do not care for chick lit, but for some reason this series has tickled me.  In the past, Becky's antics and just plain silliness made me at the very least . . . grin.  I'm not sure if Becky has run her course with me or if this just wasn't a winner, because I don't remember even grinning once.

Thoughts of Joy

  1. I haven't read my review yet but I didn't love this book either.

    1. Bermudaonion ~ I'm thinking Becky is getting too old for her past funny behavior.

  2. That's a shame. I read the first two or three books in this series and really enjoyed them. Surprisingly so, given the subject matter. I kind of lost interest though and haven't read any more of the series.

    1. Literary Feline ~ This has been the only chick-lit series that actually made me giggle. Her antics were silly, but for some reason had a bit of sense to them. I think Kinsella may need to let Becky grow up and leave her be.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. :)
