AFTER THE STORM

Author:  Linda Castillo
Genre:  Mystery, Kate Burkholder Series #7

Personal Rating:  3.5/5 (good)
Format/Narrator:  Audiobook/
Kathleen McInerney
Yearly Count:  48

During the cleanup effort from a tornado that blasted through Painters Mill, Boy Scouts find some bones by an old barn.  Whose are they?  How did they get there?  Was foul play involved?  These are just some of the questions that Kate follows up on.

This was another good edition to the series.  It didn't really intrigued me, especially because we already knew a bit before Kate did.  And, the relationship between Kate and Tomasetti (live-in boyfriend) was just whatever.  There were, also, some spots that were a little hokey in relationship to the plot, but in general,  I still liked it.  I'm hoping for a more dynamic and engaging book next time.  :)

  1. Good to know, Joy. I haven't read it yet. Am keeping it for a reading slump. To get me out of a potential reading slump in the future I mean. LOL

    1. Kay ~ I seem to always like her books, but don't find them to be stellar. The audio version could be the culprit. She was choppy sometimes (reading 3-4 words, pause, 3-4 words, etc.).
