Prompted by giving birth to her firstborn child, Thi Bui tries to understand her parents and how the past made them who they are today.
This was a terrific history book of Vietnam; however, that was not my intention for reading it. It was definitely done very well (story and illustrations), but I didn't connect or have much interest in it.
