I'm the Winner of Matrimony!

MATRIMONY
Joshua Henkin

Earlier this week, Jaime from Confessions of a Bibliophile surprised me with the fact that I won a signed copy of Matrimony!  Being that I had a desire to read this book, I haven't fully read any reviews (I don't like to know too much about a book before I read it).  I do know that it has a connection to college, is well-liked by bloggers, and that Matrimony made the New York Times Notable Books of 2007 list!  Also, this is Joshua Henkin's second novel - the first being titled Swimming Across the Hudson.

Thank you, Jaime and Joshua!  I'm really looking forward to reading this book.

Jaime's review can be found here.

  6. I kind of skim through reviews of books I'd like to read as well. The less I know about a book--most times the better it is for me going into it.

Anyway, congrats on winning! I hope you enjoy it.

  7. Mary ~ It won't be for a while. I'm trying to finish challenges and other books I've committed to, then I will read books off my shelves! Can't wait!

    Tanabata ~ Oh . . . me too!!! I think I tried at least 5 times. :)

Dar ~ I hope we both enjoy it immensely!

Trish ~ There are times when I wished I knew more about a book, but for the most part I'm happy with discovering the plot on my own. That way is soooo against teaching strategies, though.

  8. Joy, you are more than welcome to join the giveaway for The Professors' Wives' Club. It doesn't matter that you've just won. Are you sure you don't want me to enter your name for it.

  12. I won a copy of Matrimony as well. Meant to only glance at it when it arrived yesterday (I was in the middle of 2 books) but it reads so well, so smoothly that yeah, I'm in the middle of 3 books now!
