Lexi Smart wakes up in the hospital after a car crash and discovers that she doesn't remember the last three years of her life.  To her astonishment, her present life is a dream come true.

I enjoyed the concept - amnesia, but I didn't enjoy the repetition of it and the drawn out scenes.  The book could have been half the size.  While the characters were okay and there were some grinning moments, I still like the Shopaholic series much more.

  1. I really liked this book although yes I do like the Shopaholic series better too.

  2. I actually like Kinsella's stand-alone titles better than her shopaholic books, although I get tired of everyone becoming filthy rich.

  3. Still haven't read Kinsella's books--kind of on the fence about them as I've heard mixed things. I like the idea of amnesia as well (well, not getting it...but you know). We enjoy watching Samantha Who? on occasion.

  4. I've really enjoyed Kinsella's shopaholic books so I'm looking forward to reading this one. Haven't bought it yet...still waiting for the cheaper version to come out. :)

  5. Dar ~ It was still a fun diversion.

Bookfool ~ The Shopaholic series has never failed to make me giggle; that's what I like most about the books. I read that Kinsella has a new one coming out in 2009 called Twenties Girl.

Trish ~ I have watched Samantha Who? only on occasion as well. :) If you don't like when a person makes justifications for all their "want" purchases, then don't read the series. Becky (the main character) is really good at it though.

Josette ~ I hope you enjoy it, Josette. I look forward to reading your thoughts.

  6. I have yet to read any of Kinsella's books, but I have The Undomestic Goddess in my stacks. Might be a good book for the holiday season, when life gets a bit hectic. Sounds like it could be good for a few chuckles.

  7. Les ~ Kinsella's book are not deep by any stretch of the imagination, but they do offer some good fun. They certainly would be a good choice during hectic times. So . . . I'll be looking for a review from you in January, right? ;)

Thank you for taking the time to comment. :)

I hope you have a great day and ...
Happy Reading!
