MURDER RUNS IN THE FAMILY

Author: Anne George
Genre: Cozy Mystery, Series #3
Published: 1997
Personal Rating: 3/5
Yearly Count: 37

At a wedding, Patricia Anne and Mary Alice meet genealogist Meg Bryan (from the groom side) and decide to meet for a luncheon the following day. When the luncheon is almost over, Meg excuses herself to visit with a judge she recognizes in the restaurant. Soon after, news of somebody jumping out of a window 9 stories up is spreading through the streets. Meg has supposedly committed suicide, but the Southern Sisters aren't so sure about that.

Ehh. I grinned a few times, but I didn't care for the story line all that much. It was just okay. I really enjoy Patricia Anne, Mary Alice and Fred, though.

  4. Bermudaonion ~ Did you read them all?! This is my third and my ratings have varied, but have still enjoyed them.

Zetor ~ There are only 8 in this series because the author passed away in 2001. They are very light, fun mysteries and the sisters can be hysterical. Here are my thoughts on the second book in the series (I don't think I had my blog when I read the first): Murder on a Bad Hair Day

Bonnie ~ When you want something easy, but with mystery and some fun bantering between sisters - this is the ticket!

Oh Bonnie - you have such good timing. I'll be by shortly. Thank you.

Thanks for linking to the giveaway on your sidebar - I will definitely count that for another entry! I'm sorry you had trouble commenting - for some reason the first two ended up in moderation. Weird! Have a great weekend. :)

  7. Sorry to hear this one doesn't hold up well. I have it on the shelf. Maybe it will stay there awhile longer.

  8. I've read the first. I thought it was a fun read and someday will get to the second one on my shelf. At this rate, I may not get any further. Those sisters are pretty funny though.

  9. I have only read the first book in this series so far. I enjoyed it quite a bit. It's too bad this one wasn't better for you.

  10. Booklogged ~ Oh go ahead and pick it up! :) I really enjoyed the second one, so I was expecting more I guess. I will definitely keep reading them.

Framed ~ For a light, fun read and one that doesn't teeter on ridiculousness - this series is good.

Literary Feline ~ An "okay" read isn't the best rating, but I still enjoyed it. I hope you continue with it, too. Especially if you liked the first.
