From Goodreads:
The compelling, inspiring, and comically sublime New York Times bestseller about one man’s coming-of-age, set during the twilight of apartheid and the tumultuous days of freedom that followed.
This was educational, entertaining, and I experienced a whole range of emotions, as well. The stories weren't told succinctly, but they were engaging nonetheless. That may have been a little more noticeable due to this being an audiobook (no physical break in pages). The foul language wasn't pleasant either, but overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
Thoughts of Joy
I loved this and thought his narration was terrific.
ReplyDeleteI thought this was a very good book, too. I'm glad Trevor was the reader for the audiobook. Hearing his voice made it even more personal.
