1. The Guest List (Foley) ~ 4/5 (very good), audiobook
Thoughts: I really enjoyed the ending. (2-1-21)
2. The Friday Night Knitting Club (Jacobs) ~ 2/5 (not enjoyable), audiobook
Thoughts: I was bored for most of the book, but then the ending made it even worse. (2-25-21)
3. The Wife Upstairs (Hawkins) ~ 3.75/5 (good +), ebook, NetGalley
Thoughts: The characters were a little bit too shallow for my liking, but I enjoyed the storyline. The main character's secret was definitely lack luster; however, one twist surprised me. I did want to keep reading, that's always a plus. (2-27-21)

Hi Joy!
ReplyDeleteI’ve read all three and completely agree with you on all three.
Guest List was well done, with a few extra twists. I’m listening to her Hunting Party right now.
Friday Night Knitting was terrible. I forget the ending but remember being pissed.
And the Wife Upstairs was ridiculous fun, terrible terrible people but still over the top fun. Although I didn’t buy the ending (no way ‘they’ would give up everything to her)
Hi Ho! :) Did you like The Hunting Party? I've seen mixed reviews on that one.
DeleteI liked the ending of The Guest List as well. The Wife Upstairs is on my TBR. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI have recommended this book, but now I don't remember the ending! haha Did you read The Wife Upstairs? If so, what did you think?
