MERCY TRIUMPHS
Patricia Pomeroy Tanner*
Personal Rating: 2.5/5
There was a span of about 10 years that I only focused on "Christian books" for my pleasure reading. I really enjoyed that timeframe, but decided to delve back into the "real world." While the real world can be a scary, gruesome place, new adventures, intriguing stories, and wonderful learning opportunities can also be found in secular fiction; therefore, I haven't read a Christian book, other than the Bible or reference books for at least 5 years. Sad to say, this book took me back to a simple, unrealistic view of the world. It definitely was a quick read and to those that need a cleansing of the brain cells or just want a change of pace, this may be a good option for you.
*This author graciously sent me this book for my thoughts.

I just bought a pile of Christian-themed fiction and nonfiction, mostly because our Bible Factory Outlet is going out of business. I'd like to say I don't mind an idealized world - I think that's somewhat true - but only if the writing is terrific. And, so far, I've been kind of disappointed. But, I haven't given up. I'm looking forward to reading what I've purchased. Of the titles published by companies that specifically sell Christian fiction, so far my favorite was by Francine Rivers.

Bookfool ~ I have read some terrific Christian fiction and non-fiction. I learned a lot of history through some of them. :)
