I'm having a difficult time deciding which one to read.
What's your opinion?
If you haven't read them all, please feel free to leave a comment with your thoughts on the ones you have read.
Thank you for your help! :)
I decided to go with the results of the poll . . . The Bluest Eye! Thanks so much for participating in my poll.
I've only read The Bluest Eye (of the three listed) and didn't care for it at all. However, I loved Beloved! Highly recommend that one.
ReplyDeleteLes ~ Thank you for commenting. Unfortunately, Beloved is the 80's and I need a 70's book for the Decades Challenge. I really want to read a "Morrison" novel and with three to choose from, this seemed like a good time. Maybe I'll really like my choice and proceed to your recommendation. :)
ReplyDeleteOut of these three I haven't read Song of Solomon, although I do own a copy. I liked Sula, but I really liked The Bluest Eye. Read it years ago and would like to re-read it someday.
ReplyDeleteTrish ~ Thus far, Sula isn't making the cut. Thanks for commenting. I appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteI've only read The Bluest Eye and enjoyed it. I have Song of Solomon on my list for an upcoming challenge.
ReplyDeleteLynne ~ I still don't know which one I'm going to choose. It'll be interesting to read your thoughts of Song of Solomon.
ReplyDeleteI've never read THE SONG OF SOLOMON, but I have read both THE BLUEST EYE and SULA. Both are excellent books for different reasons, but of the two, I enjoyed SULA more. In it, Morrison deals with female friendship and love, and how relationships between friends change over time and circumstance.
ReplyDeleteJ.S. Peyton ~ Ahhh, I thought Sula was totally out of the running. :)
ReplyDeleteI totally cheated by voting, because I haven't read any of these. I've heard amazing things about The Bluest Eye, though, so I voted for that one.
ReplyDeleteJ ~ LOL Thanks, J! :)
