COMPLETED: August, 2008
Chick Lit is not part of my reading habit, so I've decided to give this challenge a go!
(3 books/June - August, 2008)
Eleven on Top (Evanovich)
Something Borrowed (Giffin)
The Spellman Files (Lutz)
OTHER POSSIBILITIES:
Violet By Design (Walker)
Remember Me? (Kinsella)
Little Bitty Lies (Mary Kay Andrews)
Good Luck Joy! I love chick-lit for a fun diversion!
ReplyDeleteAmy ~ I think the only real chick lit I've read is Kinsella (that I can remember now anyway). I'm kind of excited about it. :)
ReplyDeleteHave you tried Marian Keyes before? I love her books.
ReplyDeleteMarg ~ I have only read Watermelon and thought it was just okay. Do you have a favorite? I'm open to suggestions. :)
ReplyDeleteI loved the Griffin (and its sequel Something Blue) and the Kinsella. Don't forget the queen - Bridget Jones' Diary. Classic chick lit.(if ten years can be considered classic!)
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy them.
It's always good that we read something that we don't always read, like a different genre. Enjoy the challenge! =)
ReplyDeleteRaidergirl3 ~ Thanks for encouragement, Raider! Maybe I'll keep my choices as is. Bridget Jones' Diary is one that I have read, believe it or not. :)
ReplyDeleteJosette ~ I agree as long as it's not too many or too long. :)
Joy, I have had RSS issues as well. Stayed up last night and think I have it all fixed.
ReplyDeleteJ. Kaye ~ I *think* my e-mail notification is fixed now, but I still can't get your blog recognized on Google Reader. I'll keeping working on it.
ReplyDeleteWhat I did to fix the problem was delete it off the Google Reader. Go back to the blog, click on the RSS button and add it to the reader. Worked after that.
ReplyDeleteHope that helps...
J. Kaye ~ I did that once and it didn't work, but that button was from your post. I just did it again, but with the RSS button on your sidebar and IT WORKED!!! HOORAY! Now, I won't miss any important stuff!!! :) Thank you!
ReplyDeleteJust a heads up--not great morals in the characters in Remember Me---I read that one when I was sick in March, and it definitely has that British flavor to it. Violet By Design sounds interesting--I may go look at that one on Amazon--I am still tweaking my list!
ReplyDelete*smiles*
Kim
Kim ~ Thanks for the heads-up on Remember Me. I already have the book here, so I'm going to give it a go.
ReplyDeleteViolet By Design is the second in the series. You can read my thoughts on Violet on the Runway here.
I'm interested in Baby Proof and Remember Me? also, though I probably won't get to them for the chick lit challenge.
ReplyDeleteTwiga ~ Hi! I just picked up Something Borrowed, so that'll be next.
ReplyDeleteConfession: I haven't even started your Medical Mystery Challenge. UGH! I've got to get moving on that one.
