Miriam from Hachette Book Group USA has generously given me 3 MORE Beat the Reaper books to give-away to *YOU!
From the back cover:
He's a doctor with a past . . .
He's a hit man with a conscience . . .
And he's got 24 hours to beat the reaper.
Meet Peter Brown, a young Manhattan emergency room doctor with an unusual past that is just about to catch up with him. His morning begins with the quick disarming of a would-be mugger, followed by a steamy elevator encounter with a s*xy young pharmaceutical rep, topped off by a visit with a new patient - and from there Peter's day is going to get a whole lot worse and a whole lot weirder. Because that patient knows Peter from his other life, when he had a different name and a very different job. The only reason he's a doctor now is thanks to the Witness Protection Program - and even that can't protect him from the long reach of the New Jersey Mob. Now he's got to buy some time to do whatever it takes to keep his patient - and himself - alive.
Beat the Reaper is not just the only novel that will be compared to Quentin Tarantino's films, Grey's Anatomy, and Chuck Palahniuk - it's also the most original and entertaining debut you'll read this year.

I heart Tarantino & Palahniuk. I always love their bravado and the unexpected! And it seems like this book would be a crazy ride! Sign me up! (thx for offering it again!)
ReplyDeleteI love Tarantino and medical stories. I love the "other life" and "hit man with a conscious". That sounds so exciting!
ReplyDeleteA doc after witness protection? That is totally awesome. What a great idea. Plus, I love finding new authors.
ReplyDeleteMainly attracted to the title graphic and with a mystery/thriller about a doctor in witness protection sounds great, how can you go wrong?
ReplyDeleteI love that it has been compared to Tarentino and Grey's Anatomy and it sounds like it's a page turner!
ReplyDeleteI like free books, and I liked the Palahniuk book read earlier this year. I do enjoy's Grey's Anatomy, but I'm not sure I'd compare Grey's with Tarentino and Palahniuk.
ReplyDeleteThe cover looks intense.
Sounds like a high concept plot -- which either works or doesn't. But the description relishes in the situation so maybe this one will be a barn-burner. We'll see!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds fun and interesting and I'm a fan of Chucky P as well. I'd really really love to check this one out!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Lauren

The whole description makes it sound like it's action packed the whole way. I'm also fascinated to find out if he can meet the 24 hour deadline. I've seen this a few times now and it's really captured my attention - thriller, mystery - sounds awesome! Thanks for the offer!
