AIBO OR LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT (5 of 10)

Author: Eleanor Bluestein
Genre: Short Story Collection

Personal Rating: 3.25/5 (better than just okay)

A rice farmer gets swept up in illicit behavior when circumstances force him to work in a factory to support his family.

This story contains a lesson on how devastating it can be when we do not keep our eyes and thoughts where they belong.

  2. After pointing out The Killer Angels to you, I decided to listen to it (I have the book, but would rather listen to this one.) Anyway, I think I'm on just beginning #3 of 10 CDs, and so far - it's just okay. It's really a character study of the main participants in the Battle of Gettysburg - with more focus on the rebel side. It's going to take a lot to live up to Manhunt (Swanson), which was my last historical listen. However, it was true. TKA is fiction, but based on facts. I'm hoping it gets better. I look forward to what you think if you choose to read it.

I also have Widow of the South on my TBR Shelf. I'm not so sure I'm interested - right now that is. Let me know how it goes.

  3. Danielle ~ Oops! Not that it will matter, but for accuracy sake, there are 12 CDs, not 10.
