Sports agent, Myron Bolitar, gets involved in a kidnapping case. The son of pro-golfers has been snatched during the US Open Golfing Tournament.
This one lacked the abundance of wit that I've come to know and expect from Myron. His partner, Win, was scarcely visible in this case, so I'm assuming that's the reason - no buddy to banter with. It still contained a good plot though, and it was helpful to learn more about Win's character.
Very little Win makes me a sad reader!!
ReplyDeleteI listened to my first Myron book earlier this year and loved it for it's banter, so I'm disappointed to see this book doesn't have any.
ReplyDeleteMary: Not sure I'd enjoy this one if Win isn't very visible.
ReplyDeleteStaci ~ Maybe there's more than I'm saying because I wanted more of him. IDK
ReplyDeleteBermudaonion ~ It has some, but not as much as others. There is a reason behind it though.
Vickie ~ I think there's more solving of the mystery than banter. I may be wrong, but that's what I remember.
I haven't read this one in awhile, but there are always one or two in a series that fall short. For the most part Coben's pretty consistent.
ReplyDeleteStacybuckeye ~ While I like this series, I tend to like Coben's standalones more.
