THE ROSIE PROJECT

Author:  Graeme Simsion
Genre:  Fiction, Don Tillman Series #1
Published:  2013
Personal Rating:  3.5/5 (good)
Format/Narrator:  Audiobook/Dan O'Grady
Yearly Count:  4

Don decides that it's time for him to find a wife, therefore; he creates a 16-page questionnaire that is deemed The Wife Project.  Don sets out to snag that perfect woman for his socially awkward self.

The first half of this book was full of spunk and getting to know Don was delightful.  However, the spunk drastically slowed to a trickle in the second half making the experience for me not as good as I had hoped.

  1. Too bad it was a more even read. But in other news, your template looks great! I love the new look. The header and colors are wonderful, Joy!

    1. Les~ Since posting this, I have read many reviews (outside the 5 star ratings) that expressed the same feeling, so I'm not too far out of the norm with this one.

And, thank you for the header compliment. I've been thinking and thinking and thinking about a new header for years now, but just wasn't motivated enough to take the time to do it. The Polar Vortex provided me with some unexpected days off work, so I finally decided just to do SOMETHING different. :)

    2. Lucky you to get days off! I still had to go to work, taking the bus... I have this one on reserve, will see how I like it.

    1. Bermudaonion ~ Most people are loving it, so I'm not surprised. I think you'll enjoy it much more than I did.

  3. I read a book a couple (?) of years ago that sounds an awfully lot like this one. It wasn't the same one, of course, but the description is so similar! And I remember the other book had a similar problem. LOL It was like reading two different books.

    1. Literary Feline ~ I don't read a lot of general fiction, especially not women's fiction, so I don't have a lot to compare it to. However, this one was good, and I really did like Don, but . . .
