An almost 30-year-old man works at a company in the technology department. Part of his menial job (his opinion) consists of monitoring emails through a program that flags inappropriate words. His job allows him to learn about people in the company, particularly two females.
My biggest complaint is that the entire book didn't feel like the intended adult book. It felt as if the characters were all teenagers. If it was a YA book, I think I would have liked it more.
Thoughts of Joy
I've read 2 of her YA books and loved them both so I want to give this book a try.
ReplyDeleteBermudaonion ~ I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Probably lots and lots. :)
DeleteI recently read this and enjoyed it more than you. It's definitely geared more for twenty-something-year-olds, but I still like it. A lot. :)
ReplyDeleteLes ~ I was expecting something a little more mature. I still like her writing, though.
DeleteThis was another just okay book for me too.
ReplyDeleteChrista ~ There seems to be very few of us "just okay" ratings. Oh well.
DeleteEveryone seems to rave about Rainbow so it's nice to see a more measured reaction!
ReplyDeleteStacybuckeye ~ I like Rainbow a lot. Had this been a YA book, I may have seen it through different eyes (thoughts).
