Alice (estranged wife and mother of 3), hits her head while working out at the gym and loses the last 10 years of her memory.
This kept my interest, but I was always waiting for something BIG to happen. I never got that. Maybe reading/listening to many, many thrillers has trained my mind to think something was going to really elevate the story. Like I said, that didn't happen; however, I still enjoyed the time with Alice as she worked through her memory loss.

Side Note: The cover doesn't do the book justice.
Thoughts of Joy
I've been wanting to read this for a while now!
ReplyDeleteBermudaonion ~ I think it's worthy of a visit.
DeleteYeah, I'm not sure about the cover. I admit this book wasn't on my radar until I read The Husband's Secret. I like the author's writing style. And while I didn't love The Husband's Secret the way so many others did, I did like it and am curious about the author's other books.
ReplyDeleteLiterary Feline ~ I could have written what you just said. :) I probably like THS a little less than you, though, but the general idea remains the same.
DeleteI've read so many good things about this one, but haven't read it yet. I think for those of us who are used to reading lots of action and intrigue it can affect our enjoyment of a slower book!
ReplyDeleteStacybuckeye ~ You are SO right! I experience that a LOT. :(
DeleteI enjoyed this a bit more than you, but I too was waiting for something "big" to happen. Still want to read a few more by this author, but haven't gotten around to anything else. Yet.
ReplyDeleteLes ~ So many books, so little time. Boo.
