Words are phenomenal, don't you think!?! Their makeup of extraordinary characters create an incredible power. Words can and do change lives.
I love the paths of new thinking that words create in my mind, therefore I read. This blog is a place for me to capture my feelings about the adventures I have taken within the confines of the written word. The following are purely my simple words of pleasure. Or not.
My Personal Rating Scale
5 = Absolutely Outstanding4.5 = Excellent4 = Very Good 3.5 = Good3 = Just Okay 2.5 = Eh2 = Not Enjoyable 1.5 = Ugh1 = Don't Bother
Yeah! This has been my first year having a kid in school. Mind, he only goes half days (and will continue that way) but I can hardly stand it anymore. I hate having to follow the school's schedule!
Hurry up summer and give me two glorious months of my own life back, catering to no one's schedule but the one I create (or don't)!
Nicola ~ I had been working at home for 2 years and going back to school (teaching) rudely and abruptly changed my schedule. I can't wait to read to my heart's content and visit all my blogging friends!
Staci ~ 16 days!?! I believe we have 17 days of school "get-ups." There are 3 half days and 2 days off for Memorial Day, but still 24 days until I don't have to get up and go to work! I'm not complaining about having a job - I'm very, very thankful, but it's time for a long break! :)
Bybee ~ Well, that's a bummer! At least you know it's around the corner.
I sense a bit of enthusiasm here! ;) I know how much you have missed blog-hopping and posting, so I'm happy you see an end in sight. Not to rain on your parade, but when do you go back? ;)
Les ~ Just a tad. :) School begins after Labor Day, but teachers go back the end of August. There's a possibility that my job will go part-time next year - I am soooo hoping that's the case. That way I get the best of both worlds.
Booklogged ~ Long time, no see. I miss you! I'm hoping to blog-hop to my heart's content once school is out. I also have all the other things I want to do being that I've been too occupied to do them during the school year.
We start so early in August that my son has been done for two or three weeks, already (he graduated from HS, last week). I guess that's one benefit of starting early. Hope you have a fabulous summer, Joy!
Yes, he'll be going to the community college, just about 30 miles away. I'm happy about that because he's a homebody and we like having him around, so it's good that he won't be far away. He's very excited about college. :)
Les ~ I'm trying to respond to comments on my blog and visit a couple of other blogs every day. That hasn't worked out as a routine yet, but I'm getting there. :)

ReplyDeleteI remember those years of counting til the end. Our schools only have 5 more days. You probably start later than we do.
