  1. By the Sword was a great book about fencing and how it all started. :) I enjoyed it quite a bit.

  2. Joy - Oops! Can you delete the first one? Technically I finished this book at the end of July, but my internet was sketchy up in Taos so I'm just now posting. Glad I read The City of Falling Angels, but I think I'll have to re-read Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil soon--I think that one might have been better.

  3. Lover of Books ~ That's great. I don't know anything about fencing.

    Trish ~ It's all fixed. :)

I really enjoyed my August selection, River of Shadows, about Eadweard Muybridge who did the early stop-motion photographs of running horses. Something I probably would never have gotten around to if I wasn't doing this challenge!

  15. I actually read 2 non-fiction books this month since I won't be able to read one next month - so I'm finished!
I enjoyed both that I read, they were very different books. Sword & Blossom is about a British militay man who falls in love with a Japanese women in the early 1900's, Cabin Pressure is about a 34-year old man who goes back to summer camp for one last time.

  16. Yeah!!!!!!!! I didn't think I'd ever be finished with this one! The second half was much better (after my whiny blog post), but not much. :( But its finished...forever!
