I am having a difficult time deciding on which chunkster I should listen to after my current audiobook. Can you help? I may not choose the winner, but at least your response will help me narrow down my choices.
PLEASE VOTE:
THANK YOU!
UPDATE: I went with the majority: Cutting For Stone (Verghese). Thanks for voting. I appreciate it! :)
Joy, I've read both CUTTING FOR STONE and A FINE BALANCE. Both were wonderful, fine books, in my opinion. I voted for CUTTING FOR STONE though.
ReplyDeleteI've also heard such good things about A PRAYER FOR OWEN MEANY and the EDGAR SAWTELLE books from our good friend Les. Hard choice for you! :-)
Kay ~ I know, I know!!! That's why I need help. :) I seriously can't decide.
ReplyDeleteDid you get my e-mail?
I voted for Cutting for Stone because I want to know what you think about it before I bother with it!!
ReplyDeleteI meant to email you too about posting your review on Fallout. I'm planning on posting mine next week. With school, football, and life I completely lost track of time!!
Oh, man! I can only vote for one?!?! I voted for Edgar Sawtelle, only because I just read it. But Owen Mean and A Fine Balance are both incredible books. I'm hoping to convince my book club to read Cutting for Stone.
ReplyDeleteStaci ~ LOL What a great strategy!
ReplyDeleteI just remembered about Fallout yesterday. I think I saw it on Amazon. I'll post in the next couple of days, unless you want something different. Let me know.
Les ~ Thanks for voting. I plan on getting to the other books at some point.
I voted for Cutting for Stone because it's the only one of those I've read but it was fabulous. I keep looking to see if the author is writing a new novel.
ReplyDeleteNicola ~ I like "fabulous." :)
ReplyDeleteHave heard great things about Cutting Stone but I've been staying away from the audio because it's so stinkin' long! I voted Owen Meany because I'd love to hear your thoughts--been thinking about reading that one sometime.
ReplyDeleteTrish ~ I have three of these books on my TBR shelves, but I decided to listen to them BECAUSE they are so "stinkin' long!" I don't dislike chunksters as much as I used to, but I really want to get to at least one of these soon, and I don't see that happening if I plan on reading them.
ReplyDeleteEverybody ~ Thanks for your votes!!! I went with the majority and am listening to Cutting For Stone. I began it this morning and am already getting invested. :)
