ONE FALSE MOVE

Author:  Harlan Coben
Genre:  Mystery, Myron Bolitar Series #5
Published:  1998
Personal Rating:  3.75/5 (good +)
Format:  Audiobook
Yearly Count:  28

Under the guise of a sports agent (which he really is), Myron becomes a glorified babysitter for a woman professional basketball player who is receiving death threats.  Meanwhile, Jessica, Myron's girlfriend is out of town, and Win, his partner of sorts, helps Myron when the babysitting job develops into a much bigger job than anticipated.

This was another good, reliable entry in the Myron Bolitar series.  I always enjoy hanging with Myron the sports agent, private investigator, boyfriend, friend, partner, boss, son, etc.  He's an all-around good character, but I haven't done a very good job in keeping up with him.  I need to move quickly onto the next book, so I can catch up on all the scoop, because there may be an end to this series at #10. But . . . I have seen a new series pop up for 2012 starring Mickey Bolitar!  Hmmmm. Interesting.

  1. I listened to one Myron Bolitar book and really enjoyed it - I need to go back and start the series from the beginning.

I read this one in 1999 apparently. I think it was the first Myron book I read and then I went back and started from the beginning. Love these and am sad that they will end, but time marches on.

  3. I read this one long ago and would love to go back and reread the entire series. I love Myron and Win! I had not heard about Mickey Bolitar, though. As you said, interesting. :)

  4. Bermudaonion ~ Myron's story evolves so it would be best to read it from the beginning, but each client has their own story.

Kay ~ Yes, it does! Are you all caught up?

Les ~ I think it's a good series. I don't know who this Mickey character is. That's why I can't wait to read more to see when he appears. I have them all ready to put on iPod. :)

  5. I read the first book in this series and then never continued on. I'm not sure why though as I really enjoy this author's other books. Thanks for reminding me of this series!

I've read all of these and love Myron and Win but I think his latest (but hopefully not last) #10 was my favorite yet. Get to reading :)
