Chris Turley, a newpaper reporter, tries to live up to his father's legacy. He thinks he's on his way, after being in the right place at the right time, when it catapults him into a brighter existence.
This Rosenfelt book isn't a favorite of mine, but he still sprinkled some humor into his characters, which I enjoy. It actually started out pretty good, but then I felt like it just dragged on a bit. Ultimately, the plot wasn't all that solid. I simply prefer his Andy Carpenter series.
I've never read anything but his Andy Carpenter series. Maybe I should stick with it.
ReplyDeleteBermudaonion ~ I think we're pretty safe with Andy. :)
DeleteI see you're listening to "Beautiful Girl". I really like that one, one of my favorite reads from last year.
ReplyDeleteI have never read this author before. Always fun to see what others are reading and what they thought.
Susanne ~ I'm still in the beginning stages of Beautiful Girl, but so far, so good! :)
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
Not even familiar with this author at all. Not sure if I want to start a series but if I did I would go with your recommendation of the other one.
ReplyDeleteStaci ~ I really enjoy his Andy Carpenter series. Andy has a fun sense of humor.
