Numbers Challenge 2008

COMPLETED: May, 2008

This challenge works out perfectly for me. You are allowed to cross-challenge up to three books, which I have done. I have two other books that I had waiting in the wings with numbers in the title, so I may as well plug them in and do the challenge!

Hosted By: Callista
(5 Books/January - May, 2008)

1. Thirteen Reasons Why (Asher)

2. Eleven on Top (Evanovich)

3. A Thousand Bones (Parrish)

4. Half Broken Things (Joss)

5. 16 Lighthouse Road (Macomber)

ALTERNATES:

1. Split Second (Kava)

2. First Degree (Rosenfelt)

3. 18 Seconds (Shuman)

  1. Oh, heck! When I first heard about this challenge I was going to include 16 Lighthouse Road. I may have to change it for one on my list.

We'll both be reading Book of a Thousand Days. We'll have to compare notes.

  2. I don't know what it was about this one that I found so hard to resist, but I just couldn't say no. I've got a couple of the same ones on my list.

  3. Booklogged ~ You mean there's someone out there that hasn't read 16 Lighthouse Road, other than me??? :)

You are the one who introduced me to Hale with The Goose Girl. I'm really looking forward to reading Book of a Thousand Days.

Debi ~ I have many books with numbers in the titles that I've been wanting to read, so it's a no-brainer challenge. :) I think I saw your list. I'll have to come by for a revisit.

  5. Trish ~ Did I say that? You must be mistaken. I think you're thinking of someone else. :)

Seriously, this was a no-brainer for me. I have the 3 already on the YA Challenge and the other two have been on my TBR list for quite sometime. I'm happy to slide them in.

I really don't remember what I actually said and I don't feel like looking it up, but what I MEANT to say :) is that I only want to read books that I really want to read. This year I participated in challenges to stretch me and broaden my horizons, which was great and I'm really glad I did it. However, I do not want to do that in 2008. The Decades Challenge is pushing it a little, but not terribly. I think there's only one book that I'm truly not interested in.

I will be joining one more, so stay tuned. I'll be posting it soon. :)
