In 1970, a mother and her two girls lived in California in a nomadic fashion.  The girls make a decision to seek out family across the country when their mother is out searching for herself and hasn't been seen for weeks on end.

This was just okay.  I didn't find it to be endearing or heartbreaking -- it just was.  I didn't dislike anything, but I didn't like anything either.  Whatever.

  3. I haven't been inspired to read her novels. The Glass Castles was depressing enough!
