Words are phenomenal, don't you think!?! Their makeup of extraordinary characters create an incredible power. Words can and do change lives.
I love the paths of new thinking that words create in my mind, therefore I read. This blog is a place for me to capture my feelings about the adventures I have taken within the confines of the written word. The following are purely my simple words of pleasure. Or not.
My Personal Rating Scale

3M ~ Thankfully, the work I'm doing now allows me to listen to books, so I listened to many of the 16. I love it, but in a list it looks like more than it really is. Also, some are Newbery winners - short children's books.
Sheesh...I feel unworthy of even reading your blog sometimes! (Hanging my head in shame, I will now admit that only got six books read in January.) Way to go, Joy!
Debi ~ NO! Please don't feel that way. It's just circumstances right now that are allowing me to get through more books. Actually, the benefits of listening to the books have been great. You know...cleaner house, healthier body, completed mundane tasks, etc. I spend more time doing those than sitting on my rear reading. It works! :) Although, I cherish my time when I can pick up a book and read words!
16?!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat job!

ReplyDeletei was feeling pretty good about ten! (two were audio books during my short commute and lots were YA or children's.) keep up the good reading! :)
ReplyDeleteAlison ~ Ten is great! Congrats to you! :)
ReplyDeleteI love that I have been able to get through more books; however, I think I'd be happier if they all were "4 and above" material. :)
