  6. Glad to hear the next Castillo is good, I really enjoyed the first 2. I have Turn of Mind in my tbr, looking forward to it. And I think Triptych is Slaughter's best book to date, and I've read every one!

  7. Bermudaonion ~ Oh good! I hope you love them as much as I did. HNY to you, too!

Tricia ~ It's sort of a mix of genres - great book! I look forward to reading your thoughts.

Diane ~ What a kind thing to say. Thank you. I enjoy reading your blog and am excited to see how it morphs this year. :) Health and happiness to you!

Christa ~ I'm extra disappointed when everybody loves a book, and I don't. But, it happens. How does that go? Nobody reads the same book. (?)

Trish ~ Read it. Actually listen to it!!! Especially cuz you're an expert listener now. Tee Hee. The author reads it and does a fantastic job. You'll love hearing "Conor-brother," I just know it! :)

Nicola ~ Wait a sec - I have to rub my eyes. Yep! It's true. It's Nicola!!! I'm so surprised and excited to see you. :) We all have to do what works best for ourselves, but please know that you have been missed by me. I've missed your visits and past reading pattern. You were a great resource for me!

May this year find you much health and happiness, Nicola!

  8. Little Princes is on my list to read at some point. I am not sure when, but I know I want to read it! :-)

All of your favorites this year sound good! I really liked the first book in Linda Castillo's series and hope to read more at some point.

Have a Happy New Year, Joy!

  9. I'm bookmarking your list for future reference! There are a lot of books on there that I'd like to read. The Human Bobby, Between Shades of Gray (already own it), Little Princes (!!), and The Homecoming of Samuel Lake.

I'm almost finished The Stranger You Seek. Reminds me of Cody's thrillers. Kept me reading far too late last night and then I wound up having some bad dreams. Ugh.

  10. Literary Feline ~ I think you would like them all. :) I hope you at least get to Little Princes.

Les ~ The Human Bobby is odd and surprising. I really liked its uniqueness. Between Shades of Gray is written by a former Michigan resident (Go Blue!) and a delightful woman. Make sure you watch the video on Amazon afterwards (or before, but I don't like to know too much about a book before reading it). And, it's a very fast read. The Homecoming of Samuel Lake is a terrific mix of genres!

I can't wait for the next in the Keye Street series. Found this on her website: Stranger In The Room (Fall 2012) and Don’t Talk To Strangers (Fall 2013). Sorry to read you had bad dreams! That has happened to me on occasion. Thank goodness it's not often because I don't know if I could keep reading murder mysteries.

  14. Stacybuckeye ~ I didn't have the best reading year in regard to overall ratings, but I did thoroughly enjoy the books I've listed. I hope you are able to get to at least some of them.

Bookfool ~ I loved the humor in Little Princes. It was such a good book. Thanks for popping in! It's great to see you. :)

Staci ~ Did you read Between Shades of Gray? You should, if you haven't yet.
